It is important to remember that one’s mental health greatly impacts the following:

School Performance

School can be very stressful and when an adolescent struggles with their mental health, it can negatively impact academic performance. This can influence future prospects, too.

Friendships

It is normal for teens to feel a lot of emotions, which can impact friendship dynamics. It is important to understand what constitutes a healthy versus unhealthy friendship.

Sabrina Hogan, M.Ed., C.C.C., RP (Qualifying), Psychological Associate Candidate

Founder & Licensed Psychotherapist

I am passionate about working with teens!

I deeply understand how challenging the teen years can be—because I’ve been there myself. The struggles I faced as a teenager shaped my life in many ways, and looking back, I wish I’d had access to the kind of support I now offer. That’s why I’m so passionate about providing teens (and their caregivers) with a safe, compassionate space to heal and grow. With a strong foundation in professional counselling and years of experience working with youth, I bring not only clinical expertise but also genuine empathy and understanding to every session.

Why consider working with me?

Practicum

I completed my graduate practicum in a high school, working specifically with high school students.
For an entire school year, I worked under a supervisor who helped me gain a lot of insight and experience when I worked with high school students.

School Counsellor

I’ve been a school counsellor since 2018, working with teens every year alongside my therapy practice.
Prior to being a school counsellor, I was a classroom teacher, and in my experience working in a school, I have learned a lot about student mental health and academics.

Volunteer Work

I volunteered with Klinic Crisis Centre, helping support teens going through crisis by offering support.
Prior to being able to be on the phone lines, I had to go through vigorous training to help in a wide range of different crisis someone may face.

Jordan's Principle

I have worked directly with Indigenous teenagers supported by Jordan's Principle, providing care.
I have worked with teens and adolescents who come from all different types of situations and experiences.

Resilience

I knew what it was like to struggle as a teenager and found the inner resilience to move forward.
I truly believe that my past experiences have helped shape me into becoming a person who can offer help to others from my own insights and trainings.

Supporting Teens MATTERS

To help heal from the past, to make conscious and wise choices in the present, and to prepare for a brighter future. It starts here.

If you find yourself feeling...

Teens often believe they do not need or deserve help…

It doesn't have to be this way any longer
